Ancient Yrait

Project 1 of a larger mega-project, set in a hypothetical universe where Indo-European languages never become dominant in Europe. Ancient Yrait (English: /jəˈɹe͡ɪt/ or /ˈɪɹe͡ɪt/) is a fictional language spoken in an alternate version of ancient Greece from about 1500 BC to 300 BC. Ancient Yrait is composed of several dialects, though the form documented here is the traditional literary and scholarly forms of the language most widely recognized in modern times.
