The Riddle of the Strider

José E. NepomucenoOctober 8, 2026112 words

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Nem tudo que é ouro reluz,

Nem todos que vagam estão perdidos;

O que é velho e forte não murcha,

Raízes profundas não sofrem com a geada.

Das cinzas um fogo há de despertar,

Uma luz das sombras há de surgir;

Renovada será a lâmina que se quebrou,

O sem-coroa voltará a ser rei.
