Tēsu-Jar Language

Tēsu-Jar (/teːsu dʒaɹ/) is a Tesian language of the Durimic (Northern Navari) family, representing a continuation of the older Tesian lithurgical and vulgar (common) varients. It has a predominantly (C)V(C) syllable rhythm and predictable penultimate stress, with highly productive epenthesis (typically [ə]) for cluster repair and syllable smoothing. Its consonant inventory includes a stable retroflex series /ʈ ɖ ʂ ʐ ɳ/ and a robust fricative system including /x ɣ/, while its vowel system is commonly analysed as /i y e ɛ a ɨ o u/ in the traditional standard; the lexicon is described as nontonal, though limited high–low pitch alternation is noted in formal recitation. Morphosyntactically, Tēsu-Jar is moderately agglutinative and predominantly suffixing, with basic SOV order, ergative-absolutive alignment on nominals, absolutive-indexing verbal agreement, six productive cases, and strongly head-final clause structure.
