by realshyguy
Shiikaese (native name: Shiika imbü, meaning “Knight Language”) is a language belonging to the Yurav language family. It is a daughter language of Proto-Yurav and is associated with a traditional logographic writing system shared within the broader Yurav cultural and linguistic sphere. Shiikaese has a relatively varied consonant inventory and a vowel system organized into two classes. Its phonology includes several postalveolar and affricate consonants, alongside a distinction between short and long vowels. Vowel harmony operates within roots, although its application across suffixes is irregular. Shiikaese has a VOS and a mainly (C)(L)V structure and has plenty of monosyllabic and short words.
