Sound Changes

Within Celestial words, certain combinations of vowels sound different than they would separately.

au au becomes /wɑ/ (wa in "water")
ou ou becomes /wʌ/ (as in "wuh")
ue ue becomes /weɪ̯/ (as in "way")
ui ui becomes /wi/ (as in "whee")
ei ei becomes /eɪ̯/ (as in "eh")
