Tense is very simple in Chloquiana. There's 3 tenses: Past, present, and future. With the present tense, you don't have to add anything to the sentence. "I love chocolate milk" will still be "Ai amob coceb-mic."
But if you want to speak in the past tense, you use the word "me." It literally means "past."
For example: "I loved chocolate milk" becomes "Ai me amob coceb-mic" or "Ai amob me coceb-mic." (You can pick). Translated literally, those sentences are "I past love chocolate milk" and "Ai love past chocolate milk"
It's the same with the future. "Sug" (which literally means "future") is what you use for this. "I will need that" becomes "Ai sug ba comeni," "Ai comeni ba sug" "Ai comeni sug ba" "Ai ba comeni sug" or "Ai ba sug comeni." Translated literally, those are "I future need that" "I that need future" "I that future need" "I need that future" and "I need future that"
