Notes on Verbs

1 min read · 71 words

All verbs are inherently transitive.

Intransitivity is indicated with reflexives.

If something is done to oneself, then direct object pronouns are used.

The reflexive is always placed immediately following the subject pronoun.

In informal speech, the subject pronoun can be dropped from intransitive phrases.

Examples:

(Hel) heli tacom. | You draw.

Hel helen tacom. | You draw yourself.

(Dam) dami likad. | I look.

Dam damon likad. | I see myself.
