Telling Time

1 min read · 102 words

In Proto-Tuscarawan, the way to talk about time was to refer to the sun. "Above-head" is the way to refer to noon, "Below-Head" is the way to refer to midnight, "Right Arm" is the way to refer to sunrise, and "Left Arm" is the way to refer to sunset.

You say "Above" the times where the sun is out and "Below" the times where it's nighttime out of tradition. (Above 9am, below 4am, above/below 7am depending on if the sun is out or not).
This logic also applies to events, such as being "Under" a ceremony or saying "Under the beginning..."
