Articles in Lhannish have two forms, Definite Singular, Definite Plural, Indefinite Singular, and Indefinite Plural. With Masculine and Feminine forms for both depending on the noun or context.
For example, “en cyd” (the sun), uses the Feminine Definite Singular article, because “sun” is a feminine noun.
Likewise, “de cyd” (the sun), would be specifically used in cases like, the sun is a boy, the sun is affiliated with a boy, or the sun is doing something to a boy.
Another example is, “de kapew lymh de biar” (The coffee for the man), is standard.
But, “de kapew lymh en pwer” (the coffee for the woman), uses both definite articles.
The same goes for plurals.
“Ti rwkhlha” (the foxes), uses the Masculine definite plural artical. And obviously, “Dam rwkhlha” (the female foxes), means the same thing, just with a change of gender.
