Something about talking to people

When Mallondori people talk, they tend to mention who they're talking to at the beginning of the sentence, sometimes with the person's name but usually with 'you' or 'me'. If they are talking to you and probably prompting a response, they will use 'you'. If they particularly want you to not respond and possibly not even listen, they will start with 'me'. If they don't really care, they can just omit the whole thing altogether. As a result, they will have slightly different connotations. For example:
‘I am hungry.’
‘I want to get food.’
‘I want to get food, but I can wait.’
And if you are asking them if they are hungry, you go:
‘Are you hungry?’
Basic rule: don't wait until after you've said your stuff to say who you're talking to. It's weird.
