Question Formation

Questions are suggested by a directional call-to-action at the beginning of the sentence. This is usually a hand sign of the word "you" (back of hand towards the desired audience).
The question also ends with the "you" hand sign, usually directly slightly upwards. The gesture suggests the passing of the question to the person being asked.
An example:
English | “Where should we look to find Avi?” |
Translated | “(You) Avi look where so us find?” |
Oceago (V) | “(Ai) Avi kakav ajoo ca vi irio?” |
Oceago (H) | AI AVI KAKAV AJOO CA VI IRIO AI |
Here the spoken "you" is usually not stated, and only the hand sign for "you" is used. In practice, sometimes a name is used instead of "you," or a spoken name with the hand sign for "you." This would mostly be used in group settings, when it might be unclear who was being asked the question.
The ending sign is never a name, and never has a spoken component.
