Complement is any word that works as well.
In a question, the syntax is the same as a normal sentence. But, the verb has to be in interrogative mood. There are some words that don't mean nothing but are used to intensify the speaker is questioning. And there are some words that mark the question is indirect. There are some words classified as Interrogatives, those are words that go always at the start of the question, being the question direct or indirect.
