Puchepaic is an agglutinative Indo-European language.

Word Order

Puchepaic primarily uses Subject–Verb–Object (SVO) word order in the modern standard language.

Verb–Subject–Object (VSO) is grammatically valid but less common in the modern language. It is especially associated with the Classical language and survives in some dialects.

Questions

Yes–No Questions

Yes–no questions use Verb–Subject–Object (VSO) word order.

Wh-Questions

Wh-questions use the following structure:

Question Word – Verb – Subject – Object (QwVSO)

The question word is placed at the beginning of the sentence.

Subordinate Clauses

Subordinate clauses generally retain the word order of the main clause.

Therefore, both SVO and VSO are possible depending on the variety and context.
