I Exclamations

For this language you use Subject + Verb-Object + ! (SVO) for exclamation sentences e.g. "sa trie pizza!" → "I eat pizza!"

II Questions

II.1 Yes / No Questions

You must choose one clear grammatical signal that a sentence is a question.

→ Word order change

Structure:
Verb + Subject + Object + ?
→ VSO?

e.g.:

"trie sa pizza?" → "Do i eat pizza?"

II.2 WH-Questions (content questions)

You introduce question-words (WH-words)

e.g:
- becle (= what)
- besta (= who)
- betroé(= when)
- berteki (= where)
- bertzie (= why)

other question-words:
- borteka (= how)

Structure:
WH-word + Verb + Subject + Object + ?

→ WSVO

Example:

  • becle trie sa? → What do I eat?

  • betroé trie sa pizza? → When do I eat pizza?

The verb stays in second position, right after the WH-word
