Hand Signs

1 min read · 72 words

Shacesh uses abbreviated hand signs for clarity.

  • Names: Names are rarely signed. Names are spoken and if needed, the hand sign would be a pronoun.

  • Adverbs and adjectives: Signing adverbs and adjectives adds emphasis. When the adverb or adjective is drawing attention, it is signed, but otherwise it is only verbal.

  • Punctuation: Emphasis punctuation is noted by hand signs. KA=!, KAV=!!

  • Verbs: Verbs are only signed as infinitives, but are verbally conjugated.
