Relational Particles
Velari uses particles to clarify the relationships between nouns and actions. The object marker ve comes before the noun phrase. Locative sa, comitative sen, and ablative al usually follow the noun phrase. Negation ved comes before the verb or sentence.

Verb Aspect and Tense
Velari verbs do not change for person or number. Aspect is marked on the verb: imperfective usually ends in -a and perfective usually ends in -i. Tense is marked with particles before the verb. Present has no particle. Past uses tau. Future uses ven.

Noun Declension
Velari nouns mark number and case-like relationships through suffixes. Plural uses -al. Possessive uses -au after low-vowel roots and -ou after high-vowel roots. Locative uses -ren after vowel-final roots and -en after consonant-final roots. Diminutive uses -um after low-vowel roots and -im after high-vowel roots.
