Yambúrz was supposedly created in the early Third Age. It was created by three Black Númenórean linguists named Abarminal of Umbar, Azgarbâr of Gimil-alôn, and Ûrizôr of Khamûlêth. Before this, we must set the geography:
In the far south exist severalBlack Númenórean colonies: Umbar, Pharaz-zâin, Izmilthâni, Gimil-alôn, Zimra-zâin, Êphalêth, and Azrakharatthâni. In Rhûn, the city of Khamûlêth, built by the formerly human Khamûl, has a large community of Black Númenóreans.
While the Witch-King created the Realm of Angmar, these cities solidified their hold over Harad. Abarminal of Umbar began to create a tongue he called Zhâburum-ob Yambúrzum-ob. Soon Azgarbâr of Gimil-alôn and Ûrizôr of Khamûlêth joined his work. They used words from Nûrlâm, Black Speech, Quenya, Sindarin, Adûnaic, and Shadowlandian with smaller influence from Telerian, Ancient Adûnaic, Old Noldorin, Khuzdul, North Sindarin, Ancient Telerian, Nandorin, Edainic, and Danian/Ossiriandic. The language was subsequently abandoned for years.
Then, in the middle of the Third Age, when Sauron resurfaced in Dol Guldur, the language was added to by none other than the Mouth of Sauron. Here was fully developed the grammatical system. However, Azarinzil, the daughter of Azgarbâr of Gimil-alôn, disputed his grammatical system and created her own Shûbalyab system. This became the common standard.
After the War of the Ring, both systems were popularized in Rhûn and Zimra-zâin, eventually overtaking native languages. Though the surrounding lands either adopted Westron and were annexed by Gondor or remained Adûnaic and free.
In Zimra-zâin, the language continued to be spoken as a both a courtly and common language. This was around the discovery of rice by the native inhabitants. This kingdom became the first to reconcile with Gondor and return to the worship of the One.
