Morphology

1 min read · 47 words

Plurals: regularly formed by a complex sort of reduplication. The last vowel of the word is repeated after a glottal stop (apostrophe), and then the first syllable is repeated. Example: kwale (house) becomes kwale'ekwa (houses). Exceptions, of course, exist (ex: ta (person) becomes tara (people), not ta'ata)
