To make a noun plural, a fricative is added onto the end of the noun.
Which fricative you use depends on what letter the noun ends with.
Plural fricative | Z (z) | V (v) | TH (ð) | J (ʒ) |
Vowel noun endings | À, Á, | U | E, O | I, OO |
Hard consonant noun endings | P, G | T, L | B, K
Soft consonant noun endings | R | D | N, M
Dead buzz noun endings | C | F | H | SH |
For nouns that end in dead buzzes, the fricative replaces the dead buzz.
For instance:
Kácàsh (breastplate) —> Kácàj (breastplates)
Mámeh (whale) —> Mámeth (whales)
