The word classes in Kuapianese do not differ significantly from those found in terrestrial languages. They are as follows:
Nouns (Uanzhiar) → Joen (Person): Indicate an object, animal, or thing.
Adjectives (Hoezhiar) → Biwik (Big): Indicate a quality of a noun.
Verbs (Choejzhiar) → Chuaw (To eat): Indicate an action.
Pronouns (Shéuzhiar) → Méu (I/Me): Indicate "who."
Coverbs (Kúchoezhiar) → Guá (To be/in): Verbs that can function as prepositions.
Adverbs (Joezhiar) → Mhit (No/Not): Complement or modify the meaning of a verb, adjective, or another adverb.
Conjunctions (Pouroezhiar) → Hoem (And): Used to connect words or sentences.
In addition to this, there is a Martian practice of combining different nouns to create new ones (Just like German does). These are known as compound words (pouruanzhiar), and they allow for the creation of new concepts by joining existing words together. Sometimes, these are shortened to prevent the resulting words from becoming too long.
Uan (one) + zhiar (word) = Uanzhiar (means "noun," though literally translated it means "one word").
Heumuán (human) + bioeg (male/masculine gender) = Heumuánbioeg (refers specifically to a male human).
Zhoe (pig) + Chuawéu (food) = Zhoechuawéu (pork/ham).
