1 min read · 70 words

Nominalization is the act of turning an adjective into a noun.

in Proto-flumenian, this is made using the {-ɾ} suffix

Ex.1

  1. beβpe = to hunt

  2. beβpeɾ = the hunt(event)

Ex.2

  1. diɛꭧ = dark(adjective)

  2. diɛꭧɾ = darkness

  • For some words, it can also mean turning the verb into the object of action instead.

Ex.3

  1. iʂuepe = to think

  2. iʂuepeɾ = a thought

Ex.4

  1. həpe = to talk/to speak

  2. həpeɾ = speech/language
