There are 8 cases: nominative, accusative, dative, genitive, instrumental, albative, vocative and locative.

some examples in english:

  • nominative: "HE drank it", "THE TREE withered"

  • accusative: "he drank IT", "the man told his SON"

  • dative: "he gave the sword to THE WARRIOR", "she gave THE MAN the drink"

  • genitive: "The WOLF'S owner", the city OF STONE"

  • instrumental: "they travelled BY BOAT", "he wrote WITH PEN

  • vocative: "o, LORD", "come, MY FRIENDS"

Everything else is written in the default form which is nominative.

helpful information:

  • Over time, some pronouns have started to shorten case endings

  • If base noun ends with a 'x' (the only standalone consonant without its vowel equivalents) and a suffix starts with a vowel, insert a 'm_' at the end for the vowel - this also applies for verbs and their affixes.
