Vowel Merging

1 min read · 74 words

If the vowels are the same, they become one long vowel; if different, they merge based on ease of pronunciation. For example, bugu meaning against can be merged with ana to mean against the river. This word would be bugîna. All "ua," "ûa," "aû" and "au" merges become "î." All "ao" and "oa" merges become "û." All "ou" or "uo" [and their long forms ôu, ûo, uô, ôu, or ûô] are merged into "â."
