Plural
To make a noun plural, add -ie to the end of the noun.
- Hous → Housie (houses)
- Kat → Katie (cats)
- Apol → Apolie (apples)
- Wold → Woldie (forests)
The rule is regular — there are no exceptions. The ending is the same for every noun.
The definite article does not change in the plural. Since Dus and Dis are chosen by the first sound of the noun, and the plural ending is added to the end, the article stays the same:
- Dis Hous → Dis Housie (the houses)
- Dus Apol → Dus Apolie (the apples)
Example in sentences:
- Des Lueka Dis Housie Grot. — They like the big houses.
- Ick Kæf Dus Apolie. — I bought the apples.
- Des Hæsa Dis Katie Ret. — They have the red cats.
