Penderyśtë! 🥰
In this page we will see the 3 horsemen of irregularity in Samarian, aka, the irregular verbs.
Don't panic they're not that many! Let's go straight to the point; Bala ;)
1. Nélv (To speak)
yes it is distantly related to the hungarian nyelv
Here's all the rules about nélv:
If the word preceeding nélv ends with -n, the verb will become élv, (example: "man nélv" ❌ "man élv" ✅).
If you want to skip the subject 'man' and add -am, you CANNOT say 'nélvam', -am turns into 'nélvem'.
If you want to once again skip the subject, now with ty (you), you don't say 'nélvtë', you say 'nélvete'.
ALL (and remember this) ALL pronoun suffixes will always change to their e versions when with nélv (except -im which remains unchanged, and -te [acc. you] changes to -të).
» Nélvem
» Nélvete
» Nélvetë
» Nélve
» Nélvén
» Nélvese
» Nélvele
2. Ket (To go)
Rules for ket:
All pronoun suffixes will always change to their e versions when with ket, just like with nélv.
All other suffixes or prefixes attached to ket will always switch to their e versions.
3. Ël (To have)
The rules for ël are the same than with ket and nélv, except suffixes and prefixes don't have to switch to their e versions when with ël, except:
The past form of ël is NOT ëlen, it's ëlev, why? ÿa ÿa, no further questioning 🥰
