Noun Declension
Ekspi nouns are declined to show grammatical case and number. Nouns have two grammatical genders, masculine and feminine, and three cases: nominative, accusative, and genitive.
The nominative has no case ending. The accusative uses the ending -en, while the genitive uses -ej. Plural nouns are formed with -i, which is added after any case ending.
The basic order is:
noun stem + case ending + plural ending
For example, a noun stem can form nominative singular, nominative plural, accusative singular, accusative plural, genitive singular, and genitive plural forms.
The definite article l’ is placed before the noun and does not change according to case, gender, or number.
