Pronouns
Ekspi personal pronouns are fixed forms and do not take the regular plural ending -i. Pronouns can still express grammatical case.
Ekspi distinguishes between singular and plural second-person pronouns, as well as inclusive and exclusive forms of “we”.
Pronoun | Meaning |
eu | I |
tu | you, singular |
peo | he |
pea | she |
ulo | we, including the listener |
ula | we, excluding the listener |
tū | you, plural |
ītu | they |
Pronouns can take accusative and genitive forms. Because the pronouns end in vowels, they use -len for the accusative and -lej for the genitive.
For example:
eu → eulen → eulej
The possessive form of a pronoun is created by adding -j to the basic pronoun. Possessive pronouns are fixed and do not change according to the noun they modify.
Examples:
euj = my
tuj = your
peoj = his
peaj = her
uloj = our, inclusive
ulaj = our, exclusive
tūj = your, plural
ītuj = their
