Word Order

Ekspi uses Subject–Verb–Object (SVO) as its standard word order for statements.

The subject normally comes first, followed by the verb, and then the object.

The basic structure is:

Subject + Verb + Object

For example:

eu somes maren
I eat the house.

Ekspi does not change the verb according to the subject, so word order helps make the roles of words clear.

In questions, Ranish normally uses Object–Subject–Verb (OSV) order.

For yes-or-no questions, no question particle is used.

For information questions, a question particle is placed at the beginning of the sentence, followed by the normal question structure.

Nouns retain their normal case, number, gender, and article forms regardless of their position in a sentence.
